THE BUILDING
The facility has two pools: an Olympic pool for swimming, water polo and synchronised swimming activities, and a physiotherapy pool for learning and hydrotherapy.
The Olympic pool can in turn be subdivided into two pools of 8 lanes each, ideal for allowing two activities at the same time. There are very large stands in the facility to accommodate numerous spectators during the various high-level sporting events organised throughout the year.e.
THE PROJEC
The new system, which replaces the previous, other brand, consists of three networked YLC880 controllers that regulate and manage:
• the temperatures of the two pools;
• air conditioning and air quality throughout the facility, with particular attention to the formation of condensation on load-bearing structures and large windows;
• the production of domestic hot water and Anti-legionnaire’s disease treatment cycles;
• the production and distribution of hot and cold thermal fluids in the quantity required by devices in the field;
• reduces energy costs by using the free energy input of solar radiation to produce hot water (large pool heating, DHW) and the thermo-hygrometric properties of the outside air to regulate the temperature and humidity in the room.
THE METHOD

• Solar system: 74 panels.
• 3 boilers: 540 kW each.
• Refrigerator unit: 214,000 frig/h 281,000 kcal/h.
• ATU: 38,400 m³/h, 3 coils, with recovery unit static.
ADVANTAGES
Coster’s technology stands out for its flexibility and simplicity. Flexibility guarantees the right response to the multiple requirements of the facilities to be managed, in contexts of varying complexity and size. Simplicity allows the user to concentrate on prioritising work, supporting “energy service” and “energy performance” contractual models, where control of performance and energy efficiency is essential.
