In the heart of Reggio Emilia, in Italy, the iTeatri complex – including Teatro Valli, Teatro Ariosto and Teatro Cavallerizza – has implemented an important air handling digitalization and optimization project based on Coster technologies.

Thanks to the WebGarage platform powered by FIN Framework from J2 Innovations, the HVAC systems of the three different theatre locations can now be centrally supervised and managed from a single control point, while maintaining the operational independence of each building.

The project included different types of interventions across the three theatres, ranging from advanced revamping activities to the complete replacement of existing control systems, with the goal of ensuring indoor comfort, air quality, and silent operation during performances and rehearsals. All control logics were designed with CosterCAD and directly deployed on the controllers, creating a distributed and resilient architecture capable of operating autonomously even in the event of communication loss with the central supervisor.

Through WebGarage, the technical staff can monitor temperature, CO₂ levels, air pressure, and operating modes in a coordinated and centralized way, improving usability, operational continuity, and overall system management efficiency across the entire theatre complex.
